Ki-ho'alu 2025 Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival - Maui Style

The public is invited to come and celebrate the 34th annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival - Maui Style on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului, Hi from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. The festival will feature some of Hawaii's premier slack key guitar artists in concert. The event is free to the general public and mainland visitors as well as international visitors are encouraged to come and share a special part of our Hawaiian Culture. Ki-ho'alu (Slack Key Guitar) is a 193 guitar tradition that began on the Island of Hawaii in 1832 and has a rich history of individuals and performers over nearly the last 200 years. For visitors you will leave the festival knowing that you truly experienced something special and will treasure those memories for years to come. So, mark your calendars and make it a point to come to the Island of Maui and visit us. Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar is one of the last great guitar traditions in the world today. For local residents (Kamaaina) this will be an opportunity to reawaken how lucky we are to be living in Hawaii and enjoying the culture on a daily basis.
