Huakaʻi - Guided Hikes

See the forest and learn about the history of Waikōloa, native species, and restoration efforts on an interpretive sunset hike.

Please come prepared with sturdy shoes, and any water or sun protection you may need. If you like to use a walking stick, please bring that too! We will provide some cold beverages at the end of the tour and you are welcome to stay and watch the sunset. Hikes begin at 4:30 pm November-February and 5:00 pm March-October.

When you arrive, please drive to the gate so that you can turn around and park along the road, this makes your exit easier! Here is a link to directions if you've never been there before. https://www.waikoloadryforest.org/contact-us/ Please forward this to others in your group who may need directions!

We offer these hikes for free but we do rely on donations from people like you! If you'd like to make a gift online, you can donate here: https://www.waikoloadryforest.org/donate/
